Happy Prime Day Deals Galore Tuesday, {{first_name | friend}}. Let’s talk about this. Once upon a time, “big delivery” meant a fridge. Maybe a couch. Maybe a kayak that made your porch look like an REI fulfillment center. But Amazon has been selling something since 2017 that makes “Add to Cart” feel a little more substantial.

It shows up by truck, unfolds like a very expensive magic trick and unboxing videos of it have pulled in around 14 million views. Yes, it’s a big deal.

📦 What’s the biggest thing you can buy on Amazon? A) Full-size school bus, B) House, C) Hot tub with a built-in movie screen, D) 40-foot inflatable Jeff Bezos. Some assembly required. Hair not included. Think you know it? Keep reading, the answer is waiting to be assembled at the end.

🤫 Here’s a little insider news. We’ve moved house. We packed up, left WP Engine and switched to Hostinger, and I could not be happier. Our site is simpler to run and costs a whole lot less every single month. If you dream about a website for your side hustle, your church group or the family business, keep reading. Today’s sponsor makes it super easy, even if you’ve never built a thing online. And yes, the price will make you do a double take.* — Kim

🤯 WOW! Every pick on this list fixes a problem you’ll hit before Thanksgiving, and the cheapest costs $5. Buy all 15, and you’d spend about $425 and save more than $200 off regular prices. That’s 15 holiday headaches solved before they start. The deals end Wednesday at midnight.

The Short Version: Fifteen deals from $5 to $80 for your home and your car, picked so you don’t have to browse. Links below.

📖 Read time: 2 minutes

Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days end tomorrow at midnight, PT. I did the scrolling so you don’t have to.

Here are 15 deals worth your money, all less than $100, picked for the seven weeks from now till Thanksgiving. Best of all, each one solves a common problem.

🏠 Home, before company comes

Stainless steel cutting board (37% off, $19). Whoever’s hosting Thanksgiving still has a warped plastic board from 2009. Knife grooves in plastic hide bacteria. Titanium doesn’t. Buy two.

Wireless meat thermometer (51% off, $64). The turkey is no place for “I think it’s done.” Your phone says when to pull it out of the oven.

Electric jar opener (25% off, $22). Cream of mushroom, green beans, pumpkin. Your wrist knows what’s coming. Let the motor do it.

Food warming mat (40% off, $36). Warm several dishes at once for up to six hours. No cold spots. Roll it up when the feast wraps. So smart. Travels well too.

Refrigerator deodorizer (40% off, $21). Way better than baking soda. Drop it in your fridge, and it quietly kills leftover stench for up to 10 years.

Multi-plug extender (21% off, $22). Holiday lights, the air fryer, the Instant Pot. That one outlet isn’t ready. (Space heaters go straight into the wall. Always.)

Light-dimming stickers (50% off, $5, two sheets). The router blinking like a disco ball in the guest room at 2 a.m.? So annoying. Now, have complete lights out.

Stainless steel squeegee (34% off, $20). Spotty shower glass, mirrors or tile? Swipe it down. The built-in hook keeps it handy anywhere.

Sliding door security bar (37% off, $15). Going out of town? Burglars hate this one. It extends to fit your door or window and braces and holds up to 300 pounds of force.

RFID-blocking cards (15% off, $7, six-pack). Thieves do not want you to buy this. Slip one in your wallet next to your tap-to-pay cards. Cheap peace of mind.

🚗 Car, before the cold hits

Portable air compressor (37% off, $57). Cold kills tire pressure without warning. This pumps up your spare in about 35 seconds. Doubles as a power bank, too.

4K dashcam (33% off, $80). Holiday roads get packed. When the other driver swears it wasn’t their fault, the camera gets the last word.

OBD-II scan tool (30% off, $27). Be your own mechanic. It reads engine codes and tracks car data in real time. That diagnostic fee at the shop? Gone.

Windshield cleaner tool (38% off, $14). That inside smear you can’t reach becomes glare when the sun’s low. $14 beats a fender bender.

Trunk organizer (15% off, $16). Holiday Costco runs mean paper towels and pie crusts sliding everywhere. Not anymore. This is a sleeper holiday gift that gets used all year long.

Prices end Wednesday at midnight, Pacific. See all my Prime picks on my Amazon page.

What do you call it when you’re shopping for new eyebrows? Browsing.

🕵️ Badge means nothing: Heads up, someone can call from an actual FBI number, use a real agent’s name and still be a thief. The FBI’s Newark office says scammers are adding fake bureau backdrops and seals on video calls, making people feel cornered into wiring cash. Since January 2025, victims have filed nearly 61,000 complaints totaling $1.6B. Yikes. Remember, real agents never demand money. Hang up, find the office’s number yourself and call. Your bank account will thank you.

Ads ride shotgun: Picture pulling into your driveway after paying tens of thousands for a BMW, then the dashboard forces a Spider-Man ad on you. That happened through a promotional video packed with BMW product placement. Owners could decline it, but the message came over the built-in cellular service many drivers pay for to keep connected features alive. It’s like getting stuck in an elevator with someone trying to sell you stuff, except the elevator is your car.

📣 Everyone looks busy: It’s 6 p.m., and someone in accounting just posted a screenshot proving they finished a spreadsheet. We went from quiet quitting to loud working (paywall link) in four years. Employees broadcast daily tasks, wins and progress on Slack or LinkedIn because they’re worried quiet competence won’t survive the next layoff. Managers get a steady stream of proof, while coworkers get a workplace where every routine assignment has its own press tour. I’d brag about my spreadsheet, too, but I like to keep my cells to myself.

🪶 Dead generals typing: Get this. ChatGPT-6 Astra cracked a 217-year-old Napoleonic code in six hours. Researchers fed it one image of 24 rows of custom symbols, and out came troop orders from the era. Somebody drew those marks to hide urgent military plans, never imagining a machine would casually read them centuries later. A general asked Napoleon if he was capable of leading a country. “Of Corsican,” he replied. (Get it? Tough crowd today.)

DEVICE ADVICE

⚡️ 3-second tech genius: That old friend might have messaged you after all. Facebook puts messages from people outside your Friends list in a separate inbox. On mobile, tap the Messenger icon at the top right, then Settings > Message requests. Have a look for familiar names. Could be a long-lost cousin. Could be someone with a suspicious investment opportunity.

AI scams look real: No bad grammar. No crooked logos. AI writes phishing emails that can be incredibly convincing. During Cybersecurity Awareness Month, it’s a good reminder to stay protected. I use Webroot because it catches what your eyes miss. It runs quietly in the background without slowing your computer down. Save 65% today.*

Wait, you took that on an iPhone? You know those photos of silky waterfalls and streaky car lights? Here’s the trick. Open Camera > Photo > Menu > Live and turn on Live Photo. Take your picture, holding still for a few seconds. Open it in Photos, tap Live at the top left and choose Long Exposure. Suddenly, you’re the artistic one.

💻 Don’t postpone Windows 11 26H2: Beyond the Task bar, Start menu and Search tweaks, some folks are seeing up to 2GB less RAM usage and faster app launches with the new low-latency profile. That could help your older laptop feel a little less sluggish. Go to Settings > Windows Update to check for it. Literally a free upgrade.

Your Android’s outgrown your thumb: Phone screens keep getting bigger. Our hands? Not so much. Open Settings > System > Gestures > One-handed mode and turn it on. Then swipe down near the bottom edge to bring the top closer. Menus vary by brand, so try searching Settings for it. Less stretching, fewer chances to drop the thing.

🍂 Get there before the branches are bare: Planning a drive to see the autumn colors? This free fall foliage map lets you check ahead. Enter your location and move the date slider at the bottom to see predicted color changes. Green means not yet. Warmer shades show things moving along. Weekend plans sorted. Ciao! 🍁

WHAT THE TECH?

🔊 Beak performance review

Your neighbor’s leaf blower finally has competition, and it has feathers.

Researchers measured calls from 123 bird species and found the bare-throated bellbird blasting 122.4 decibels from about 3 feet away, basically jackhammer territory. One individual call briefly peaked near 131 decibels, almost “jet engine takeoff” loud.

Louder birds tend to have bigger bodies and wider beak openings, so this thing is essentially a flying megaphone with anger issues.

Watch it yap here. Bird Twitter is going to be unbearable.

LOGGING OUT …

🎓 What you learned today: Fake FBI calls are getting frighteningly convincing, BMW dashboards are serving ads, “loud working” is the new job security theater, AI cracked a 217-year-old military code, and one tiny bird can hit jackhammer-level volume. Not bad for one email. The barcode on your groceries is getting a big upgrade. Tomorrow, I’ll explain what’s changing by 2027 and why your milk carton is suddenly getting so smart. Check your inbox.

🏘️ The answer: B) A house. Yep, a real one. Amazon sellers have listed tiny homes, like this one, for $14,000 to $23,000. They arrive folded flat before unfolding into a small living space with walls, a ceiling, a bathroom, cabinets and locking doors. Mobile studios and full kits are even available to help you build your own custom tiny home.

You bring the land, power, water and a quick reality check with zoning laws. Because nothing ruins the dream faster than learning your HOA considers that surprise house crate an issue.

By the way, one gossip report says Lauren Sánchez is nudging Jeff Bezos toward a presidential run because she can picture herself as first lady. Rumor is he’d be a Prime candidate.

✅ Before you go, one more nudge. My insanely busy website runs on Hostinger now, and I don’t hand it over to just anyone. Plans start at $2.69 a month, and you get a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you have nothing to lose.* Get started today at Hostinger.com/Kim. Your future self will thank you for it.

P.S. Why did the old website go to therapy? It had way too many unresolved issues. Hostinger can’t fix your feelings, but it sure fixes your hosting.

😀 A house can ship flat. A scam can wear a badge. You? You read to the end, and that’s exactly why nobody fools you. — Kim
